Originally this blog was my record of choosing a Pescatarian Diet. Since them I like the idea that something fishy is going on here. It has now become a place for me to vent.

Online Grocery Shopping
Today I placed my first online grocery shopping order with Coles Supermarket. I actually registered yesterday and had a good look around the site before placing an order. Prices and range are comparative and there are even some online only specials. Delivery is available, in my area, from 7:00AM- 10.00PM Monday to Friday, you would need to check with the post code checker to see what is available for you. Cost for me is between $8 and $13, dependant on the required day & time frame(2 or 3 hours). I do like the feature that if you forget anything you can update your order for up to 12 hours before you delivery time.
It was easy to navigate, all the brands I expected to find were there and a few nice specials. They also had available for $22 a medium size box of mixed season vegetables, but I do still like to buy fresh food myself, I may even drag myself to the market tomorrow morning - if I do I promise to take the camera - oh and be prepared - it won't be pretty!
Check out the Coles website, I may try out Woolworths next, to compare. More video's coming soon, if you have any suggestions or recipe's you want to share please pass them my way!

Vindaloo Chick Pea Curry
Today I release the first of the much awaited Pescatarian Daily video. I will endeavour to post one a week and encourage you to send me your favourite recipes for us to try. I try to keep preparation time to 10 mins or less and cooking time around the same, of course there will be exceptions. So without futher ado, I present, Pescatarian Daily's first cooking video.

My favourite junk food
Today I went to Hungry Jacks and had my favourite Pecatarian junk food, a veggie burger. It is on the same sized roll as a whopper, has a grilled vegetable patty ( looks very much like bubble & squeak), lettuce, tomato, raw onion and a slice of cheese topped with mayonnaise. They are the best hangover food for those who want a quick fix, I recommend also getting a frozen raspberry drink too.
I certainly, like anyone, eat junk food occasionally but do find it is hard to accommodate a pescatarian diet. As I said, great hangover food, with which today's blog is short, I need more sleep and maybe an aspirin...

Blog x 2
Today I made some awesome decisions and an average soup. I completely cheated, it was a packet Tom Yum soup, to which I added frozen peas, spinach and slices of roasted camembert cheese. It was quick & warmed me up in lightening speed. I also ate way too much cake - no animal ever died for a cake. I have been asked if I believe that eggs are a form of life, and I understand if others believe so but for me if you are alive you are breathing for yourself and if you haven't taken your first breath, then no you are not alive. This belief also rolls over to the Pro choice beliefs I have. I don't take pro choice as lightly as breakfast eggs but the principle is the same. If a foetus has not taken a breath on it's own then it isn't alive. Yesterday I read that Adele was becoming a vegan, much stronger principles than me, because she would look at a steak and see her dog. In conjunction with PETA, she is encouraging others to eat Vegan for 30 days, not for me but if you are keen there are details on PETA's website. I have a small job in the morning & lunch with my daughter tomorrow, it will be interesting to see what she prepares for us. In the mean time, peace and remember if you are reading this you are part of the revolution!

My First Blog
Can you believe after almost 20 years online I have never posted a blog. This is a first for me, probably 10 years to late but I am going to give it a bash. I am going to focus the blog on Pescatarian cooking, much of which will also be vegetarian. I hope to link videos of some of my favourite recipes and information on how to save money by eating pescatarian. I have been a Pescatarian on & off for 20 years. Initially I did so because of my love & compassion for animals, but in all honesty I just love the taste of seafood & couldn't give it up. I have many memories as a child of weekends away camping & fishing with my dad and to stop eating fish would almost be destroying those memories for me. When people ask what I eat I generally say, nothing that put's its feet on the ground. As I have got older I have found meat harder to digest and with alarming increase in bowel cancer, well it makes good sense. There are many products on the market you can substitute meat for, that are tasty and inexpensive. When I can, I try to get hold of seafood that has been caught by ethical, sports fisherman. Not only is it freshest but I feel the animals have a fighting chance when there are many times I see the esky come back with nothing but empty bottles.
I have included a video of one of Dad's recent fishing videos, I hope you enjoy it.
